If Batman had a new boat made for him, it'd probably be this. And my guess is that it'd be a relatively easy job for Morgan Freeman to whip up. Under the hood is a pair of Mercury Marine V8 engines that have been turbo charged to the tune of 1350 horsepower each. Turbos were probably a good choice, as the extra top-end power is really needed to push this boat through the water. Superchargers would have produced a wider power band, but the turbos boost the top end to astronomical levels.
They also used a bunch of Corvette parts... and no, we're not talking about headers, body panels, suspension bits or shocks (why would a boat need shocks). No, they've taken the ZR1 steering wheel and mounted it in the cockpit! The also integrated the Corvette ZR1 glove box with an 8000 watt stereo, complete with an Apple TV and an iPod car adapter. All of the Corvette parts were purchased directly from a Chevy dealership, so you know they're OEM original parts.
So what would it cost to buy the Bat Boat? A cool $1.7 million bucks is the asking price, but this includes a pretty sick trailer to haul the boat around... considering this is an extra wide load, it's nice they threw that in. If you've got the extra cash laying around the house, head on over to OffShoreOnly.com to make a bid.
