Exclusive Scoop for The Car Insider! Our own photog-about-town happen to be noshing at an upscale eatery in La Mesa, CA, a quaint hamlet just east of San Diego, when this rolled by. It looks to be a General Motors test mule for the long awaited Cadillac DeVille-Camino.
Our normally feckless photographer was able to squeeze off these shots while the test driver ran into Mr. D’s Market for a Red Bull and a pack of Camel no-filters. Upon returning to the luxury truck/car, the test driver attempted to smash the camera, ala Sonny Corleone, before slipping behind the wheel and laying rubber for a hundred feet down the main drag of this sleepy town.
Early reports support our notion that the General was keeping this vehicle top secret, in anticipation of unveiling it in grand fashion at the Geneva Auto Show next month.
